The May 2026 PS Plus Extra lineup (Game Catalog additions)

PlayStation Plus Extra For May 2026 Revealed

The games joining PlayStation Plus Extra in May 2026 are Star Wars Outlaws (PS5), Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4), Bramble: The Mountain King (PS5/PS4), The Thaumaturge (PS5), Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (PS5), Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged (PS5/PS4), and Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition (PS5). Sony also labels Red Dead Redemption 2 as a PlayStation Plus re-release, meaning it’s returning to the catalog after being available before.

When the games go live (and how PS Plus Extra differs from Essential)

Sony’s announcement states the full Game Catalog lineup will be playable on May 19, 2026, which is the typical mid-month drop for Extra and Premium members. This is separate from the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games (the Essential tier’s monthly claims), which for May 2026 were announced as EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols, and were scheduled to be available starting May 5, 2026.

Quick highlights: what kind of month this is

If you want a “big, modern blockbuster” to sink time into, Star Wars Outlaws is positioned as an open-world Star Wars adventure focused on scoundrel Kay Vess navigating criminal syndicates across multiple planets. For a massive story-driven time investment, Red Dead Redemption 2 returns with its full single-player campaign and also includes Red Dead Online, so it can easily become the one game you play all month.

For players who prefer smaller but moodier experiences, Bramble: The Mountain King leans into unsettling Nordic-folklore vibes, while The Thaumaturge offers a story-heavy RPG set in early 20th-century Warsaw with turn-based tactical combat and supernatural “salutor” entities. And if you’re chasing action-RPG challenge, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is framed as a “Souls-lite” blend of gods, guns, and melee combat, while Enotria: The Last Song is a sunlit Italian-folklore-inspired soulslike built around swapping “Masks” to change your playstyle.

A note for Premium members: Time Crisis joins the Classics Catalog

While this article is focused on Extra, Sony also confirmed one Premium bonus for May: the original Time Crisis joins PlayStation Plus Premium, described as the classic arcade shooter returning on PS4/PS5 with features like gyro aiming and the original console-exclusive special stages. Sony also notes that Game Catalog and Premium/Deluxe lineups can vary by region, so it’s smart to check your local PlayStation Store on release day.
