What Is After Chancemaker in Cookie Clicker?

The Chancemaker is the fifteenth building in Cookie Clicker, but it's far from the last. There are five more buildings beyond it, each more bizarre and powerful than the last. Here's everything that comes after the Chancemaker, in order.

Buildings After Chancemaker

What Is After Chancemaker in Cookie Clicker?

Building #16 — Fractal Engine

  • Cost: 310 quadrillion cookies

  • CpS: 150 billion

Makes cookies out of cookies, in a self-referential fractal loop. Added in the "feedback loop" update (v2.021). Notable for an upgrade literally called "This upgrade" — a self-referential joke.

Building #17 — Javascript Console

  • Cost: 71 quintillion cookies

  • CpS: 1.1 trillion

Creates cookies from Cookie Clicker's very own code. Its icon features Japanese katakana reading "Cookie Clicker JavaScript." A big price jump — Javascript Consoles cost 229× more than Fractal Engines.

Building #18 — Idleverse

  • Cost: 12 sextillion cookies

  • CpS: 8.3 trillion

Hijacks cookie production from other idle universes across the multiverse. Added in v2.048. Has the longest building description in the entire game and a randomized appearance in the overview.

Building #19 — Cortex Baker

  • Cost: 1.9 septillion cookies

  • CpS: 64 trillion

A giant brain that literally thinks cookies into existence. Inspired by the concept of a "Jupiter Brain" — a theoretical supercomputer built from a planet's mass. Also has a randomized appearance per run.

Building #20 — You (Final Building)

  • Cost: 540 septillion cookies

  • CpS: Highest base CpS in the game

Added in v2.052, this is literally the player — or clones of them. After automating cursors, grandmas, portals, fractal engines, and even idle universes, it turns out the ultimate cookie producer was you all along. The most powerful building in the game.

What About After "You"?

There are currently 20 buildings total in Cookie Clicker (as of v2.052). After unlocking "You," the game doesn't end — it becomes about ascending repeatedly, stacking Prestige levels, and pursuing achievements infinitely.

Once you have all 20 buildings, the endgame shifts to the Ascension (Prestige) system. By resetting via the "Legacy" button, you earn Heavenly Chips used to buy permanent upgrades that survive future runs. Each Prestige level gives a permanent +1% boost to Cookies per Second — and players have been known to accumulate trillions of Prestige levels chasing achievements, shadow achievements, and golden cookie combos.

There's no true ending. Cookie Clicker is designed to be infinite — it keeps giving you new numbers to chase and strategies to optimize long after you've unlocked every building.
