New Crimson Desert update 1.0.7 | Helps Kliff and Damiane Punch Better

Crimson Desert update 1.0.7 - Pearl Abyss has released Crimson Desert Update 1.0.7 (Patch Notes Version 1.07.00) on May 15, 2026 (04:11 UTC), and it’s a surprisingly combat-forward patch for anyone who likes getting up close without relying on weapons. The headline is simple: the update adds new unarmed combat skills for Damiane, introduces a new unarmed finisher for Kliff, and then backs those additions up with mechanical tweaks that make fist-fighting connect more reliably—especially against enemies who are already downed.

What Update 1.0.7 (Version 1.07.00) changes at a glance

New Crimson Desert update 1.0.7 | Helps Kliff and Damiane Punch Better

In the official patch notes, Pearl Abyss frames 1.07.00 as an update focused on three things: more bosses for rematches, new unarmed combat skills for Damiane, and a wide batch of bug fixes and stability improvements across platforms. The patch is listed as available on Steam (PC), Steam (Mac), PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games Store, while the Mac App Store version is still marked as coming later.

Kliff and Damiane “punch better” because unarmed combat got real upgrades

The “punch better” part is not just flavor text—1.07.00 directly targets how unarmed combat feels and functions. Damiane gets new unarmed combat skills, and the patch notes explain you can find them by choosing “Fists” in the skill menu, which is a clear signal that unarmed play is now meant to be a proper style for her rather than an emergency fallback.

For Kliff, the patch adds a new unarmed move called “Blinding Flash Finisher,” giving him more payoff when committing to fist-based strings instead of swapping back to swords and shields. The patch also adds “Aerial Stab” for both Damiane and Oongka, and it improves Damiane’s general movement animation while unarmed, which matters because animation quality directly affects readability and timing in melee-heavy fights.

Most importantly for pure “feel,” Pearl Abyss also improved most unarmed attacks and skills so they can successfully hit enemies lying on the ground. That one line is a big deal in practice: it reduces those frustrating moments where you knock an enemy down, try to follow up, and watch your punches whiff over a target that’s technically in range but not in the right “hitbox state.”

More boss rematches (and why that’s perfect for testing new fist builds)

Alongside the combat changes, 1.07.00 expands the boss rematch system by adding more bosses you can challenge again, and it also adjusts some rematch locations—especially for bosses that were originally encountered in the Abyss, which are now shifted to take place on land. The patch notes even point players to where rematches are tracked in-game, under Journal > Knowledge > Memory Fragments > Bosses, making this update feel designed for players who like iterating on tactics and practicing execution.

This is where the patch’s design clicks: new unarmed skills are fun, but they become useful when you have a repeatable way to stress-test them against tough patterns. Rematches effectively turn bosses into training dummies that fight back—perfect for learning when to commit to finishers, when to back off, and how consistent your grounded-enemy follow-ups really are.

Extra mounts, plus fixes that make the world behave more consistently

Update 1.07.00 doesn’t ignore exploration, either. Pearl Abyss added additional wolf and bear types that can be registered as mounts, added reins for certain mounts, and increased the number of animals in the world that can be used as mounts. Separately, the patch fixes a physics-looking issue where lions, tigers, and large wolves would fall over every time they were hit, which should make mounted encounters and animal interactions feel less janky.

Bug fixes and stability: the “quiet” changes that still matter

A lot of 1.07.00 is classic live-game cleanup—quest progression fixes, item/visual corrections, and edge-case problems that can break immersion. Two fixes that will stand out to many players are the one addressing legendary mounts not being summonable when switching to Kliff in certain situations, and a stability fix for a GPU crash tied to AMD driver version 26.5.1. These aren’t flashy additions, but they directly reduce the odds of losing time to bugs when you just want to explore, fight, and experiment with the new unarmed tools.
